I was in the parking lot just hanging out during the opening act. I was told it was Kanye West, so the parking lot with food and beverage was the better place to be. Agree with Joy, no loss of energy in Mick. The stage at this show was incredible. The stage moved about 70 yards with the boys along for the ride.. The pyrotechnics were great.Fireworks and major flames ... Sympathy heated up the place both literally and figuratively. Only complaint.... two hours was way too short.
Were I not flying back from San Diego that night I'd try for AC tickets too.

Joy,
Sounds great. When the Stones performed Sympathy For the Devil (great
song) on their last pass through San Francisco, Mick was bathed in a
blood red spot light that was a deceptively simple effect, yet fit the
song so perfectly. I remember the very first time I ever heard
Sympathy I felt like Arnold Horschak from Welcome Back Kotter, cause
inside I was all, ooh, ooh, I can guess your name!
It really hits you at a Stones concert, what an immense songbook they
have to draw from - and that's just their own material. Ray Charles
had just passed away recently and they covered one of his songs as
their tribute to him.
3rd and 4th generation Stones fans is interesting but scary. I
checked out their concert schedule and I'm assuming Van Morrison
opened for your show. How was Van the man, did he do Moondance?
That's SWMBO's and my "song."
Thanks for sharing and Doug, I hope you had at least as much fun as
Joy.

Marvin and all,
Well, now that I'm finally fully recuperated, I can happily report
that the boys did not disappoint. Another INCREDIBLE Performance!! The
concert was maybe a tad shorter than last year but predominantly all
classics with one Keith Richards' solo. Mick hasn't lost an ounce of
energy and he stole my heart again with his "Sympathy For The Devil"
performance. Loved It, Love Him!! We had a great time dancing along
with him all night. My biggest dilemma was how to look through my
binoculars while dancing. I didn't want to miss a thing nor a beat. We
also had a good time (maybe too good) tailgating for a few hours
prior. We met some really nice people. Stones fans are the best! I
always marvel at how their fans span the ages. I have some friends in
their 70's that are big fans. And my 13 year old daughter told me that
one of her 8th grade classmates was also at the concert that night.
That's Great! I'm just glad he wasn't sitting next to me and I hope
that my own child doesn't get any ideas about joining us the next
time. My "Stones Time" is "Sacred Time". But I'll share my CD's with
her. So Marvin, definitely grab yourself some tickets. I see they will
be in Oakland, CA @McAfee Coliseum 11/5/06 and Los Angeles, CA @
Dodger Stadium 11/18/06. Also Las Vegas @ MGM Grand 11/11/06 and for
those Really lucky people out there; Honolulu on 11/22/06. And they're
going to be here in Atlantic City 10/27/06; I just might have to look
into that. FYI, Ebay is a great place to grab some great seats, at an
inexpensive price, at the last minute. We bought ours just 3 days
before the concert. Good Luck and ENJOY!!
Joy

Joy,
Can't wait to hear you kiss and tell about your Bigger Bang
experience. BTW, I checked out Roxy Perry. Nice smokey voice.
Doug, I'm hoping for a heaping helping from you, too.
The Stones are heading back this way in November so I'm hoping you two
get me wanting a little more Satisfaction.
Testify,
Marvin
