Here's a link to one of my favorite San Diego webcams - Panda Cam at the San
Diego Zoo http://www.sandiegozoo.org/zoo/ex_panda_station.html Just can't
get enough of those Panda babies.
Marvin, thanks for that bit of Springsteen. I had great tickets to the
Boss's shows in Anaheim on Monday and Tuesday night, but couldn't go because
I am recovering from surgery. The people who had my tickets for Tuesday (GA
on the floor) told me they were right up front and almost got to grab
Bruce's hand. The reviews say they were phenomenal shows, and I'm sorry to
have missed them. I will be in the Garden State on July 27th when
Springsteen is at the Meadowlands, so if any of you in NJ hear of a couple
of good available tickets, please let me know.
It takes a leap of faith to get things going
It takes a leap of faith you gotta show some guts
It takes a leap of faith to get things going
In your heart you must trust
Leap of Faith
Bruce Springsteen

The Asbury Park Webcam is back online at:
http://68.236.219.136/
This is something Dennis Dubrow (thanks Dube) hipped me to a while back.
It's been on and offline sporadically, but it's back, it's bad (the good
kind of bad) and it's pointed at the newly renovated Salt Water Beach Cafe
(nee HoJo's - the round one on the boardwalk). I've got it bookmarked, all
the better for grabbing a convenient slice of Convention Hall, whenever.
FYI, it works even better with a Springsteen album ripped to your MP3 of
choice, like The Wild, The Innocent and the E Street Shuffle - I'm soaking
in it now (I'm playing Shuffle on my Shuffle).
Speaking of webcams (or was that just me?), we've got Spartans to the left,
to the right and down the center, making me think it might be interesting if
people checked in with their own local webcam addresses (one or more apiece,
it's not a contest - unless you want it to be). Step up and show the rest
of us what makes your 'hood so good. I'll go first, sometimes I really
think San Francisco just can't take a bad picture. Here's a webcam looking
at the Bay Bridge including the San Francisco skyline:

If you don't happen to have a local webcam handy, there's always Google
Earth, 'cause getting close counts - just like in horseshoes and hand
grenades.

PS/ SWMBO and I leave on Tuesday for our end of the season ski trip to
Whistler, British Columbia. Whistler's preparing for the 2010 Winter
Olympics and I can't wait to see (and ski) their latest improvements.
Here's Whistler's webcam:

Sandy the aurora's rising behind us,
the pier lights our carnival life forever.
Oh love me tonight and I promise I'll love you forever.
4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)
